Why We Do It
With a growing recidivism rate each year, it's time we really take a look at what we are doing on the outside to change things. We are impacting the inmates on the inside at revival level, but it doesn't stick because when they get out to a society that has gotten worse, they easily fall back into their old ways.
Nationally almost eighty percent of inmates return to a criminal lifestyle or prison within three years of release. Sadly, if they don't go back they are either very successful or they end up under a bridge. Most of the homeless people we meet in our ministry have done time in prison.
We want to make a change. We can't change everything but we can start in our own city, county, state. We hope to establish more houses across the state and the nation.
